(SEMC) inaugurate the matrix of legislative and administrative obstacles that Impede Decisions about Corruption Cases

Studies and Economic Media Center(SEMC) inaugurate today ,in a press conference, the matrix of legislative and administrative obstacles that Impede Decisions about Corruption Cases in cooperation with SNACC and good governance cluster - GIZ

At the inauguration ceremony ,on the occasion of world day to combat corruption ,Mustafa Nasr ,the chairman of SEMC ,said that matrix is a result of a discussion with more than 120 of judges ,experts in public fund and representatives from public institutions and constitutes a road map for combating corruption in both legislative and administrative sides ( attached herewith the matrix in English and Arabic )

Nasr stated that during the next phase ,SEMC will focus on the amendment of legislation that verdict the public fund cases including the trial of senior executive officials and parliament’s members ,appointed that partnership, adopted by SEMC during the preparation of the matrix in cooperation with the Ministry of Justice The public prosecutor and SNACC represents a model of cooperation between civil societies and legislative authority and related institution .

Mr. Mohammed Sanhoob ,head of investigation department in SNACC ,said that SNAC crashed with several legislations that verdict the public fund cases including the trial of senior executive officials and the law in which the access to information about the suspect in corruption cases is forbidden expect after the issuance of a final court judgment. emphasizing the importance of doing to enhance transparency and combating corruption ,praising the matrix prepared by SEMC .

On the other hand , Dr. Eftikar Al-mikhlafi , an expert on the legislations for combating corruption, presented several articles stated in the matrix as an administrative and legislative obstacles that verdict the public of fund cases .

This inauguration come within the ceremony on world day for combating corruption organized by SNACC in cooperation with UNDP and good governance cluster – GIZ and with participation of more than 250 from civil societies ,public institutions and media
