The Alliance of the civil society for supporting the dialogue adopts the vision of the civil society towards the National dialogue

The alliance of civil society for supporting the national dialogue has put forward its preliminary vision draft on the national dialogue.

At the seminar which was organized by the Alliance under the auspices  of the prime minister Mr.  Mohammed S. Ba-Sondwa,  the Alliance Director Mr. Mustafa Nasr has insisted that the Civil society organizations will put forward their visions on the national dialogue issues.

Mr.Nasr said that civil society organizations, which have been the leader in the defense of rights , freedoms , the promotion of good governance and the rule of law will strive to be a partner in the establishment of the modern state of Yemen in all phases of the dialogue

Mr. Noradin  Alazazy the Chairman of the experts Committee has reviewed the Alliance  vision that will put forward to the national dialogue, which included initial perceptions of the dialogue, and references, caveats and other essential points which lay the foundations for a genuine dialogue in Yemeni society.

 The Assistant Secretary General of the Alliance Dr. Abdullah Alsholeef gave a brief  introduction about the Alliance, pointed out the constituent stages from the formation of the Preparatory Committee and the announcing of the Alliance press conference and the meeting of the Constituent Assembly which was attended by more than 80 organizations, with the election of 11 members of the Coalition of the Coordinating Body, the Committee of Experts and an oversight committee.

For her part, Vice President of the Alliance Mrs. Elham Abdolwahab pointed out the  importance of women involvement in the dialogue by no less than 30% in all committees of the dialogue stages, as well as finding transparent and honest  solution for the south Yemen issue, which is the main concern and an important assets of the dialogue.

 Dr. Amnina Alaslami in her paper reviewed the agenda of the national dialogue and the main determinants of it, on her review listed more than 17 head to boot demands for  the dialogue, that are a fundamental starting point for the construction of new Yemen.

 Abdalilah Salam the member of the Oversight Committee of the Alliance presented a working paper on the importance of involving civil society in all stages of the dialogue, presenting an overview of the steps that have been so far in the national dialogue, the issues that will be discussed, and the intervention points that are supposed to be involved by the civil society organizations. He criticized the failure of the  national reconciliation Government to  provide a safe environment  in preparing for the national dialogue through its different  instruments, pointing to the absence of media role in creating the climate for the dialogue by encouraging  people to participate in the dialogue as a an important stage of building a new Yemen.
