SEMC Trains Young Journalists On Media Coverage During Conflicts
Studies and Economic Media Center (SEMC) Organized a training course for young Journalists in Sanaa on "Media Coverage During Conflicts", in collaboration with the Yemen-based European Union’s Delegation
Chairman of SEMC Mustafa Nasr said in the opening celebration of the training course that this training course is the second course of the Young Journalists Capacity building Program that aims to grant trainees skills on media coverage during conflicts in order to get main goal of media to provide correct information for the reader according to real criteria and in a good style.
Nasr clarified that youth especially journalists were the first in asking for change and the leaders of political and social changes, so they should carried knowledge to continue this rule.
By the way SEMC and in collaboration with the Yemen-based European Union’s Delegation is implementing a training program targeting 120 young male and female and involve four training courses focusing on journalistic values, including professionalism, impartial coverage and war and conflict coverage , in addition to helping young journalists, both males and females, acquire skills of photography, video production, and the way of utilizing them efficiently in new media.
